Cindy was born in Worcester, MA, but spent most of her life growing up in Plymouth, MN. During junior high, Cindy formally accepted Christ, having witnessed over and over again His incredible grace and mercy in her life. After high school, Cindy attended school at the University of Minnesota. After two years of being in engineering, the 4th hour long chem labs became unbearable. As such, she switched into the field of child psychology where research involved working with children. It was during her undergraduate studies that she traveled far and away to the University of California, Berkeley to obtain more research experience. Despite her best efforts to do research that summer, it was the conversations and time spent with Harvard which captivated her most. Thus was born a beautiful friendship.

Since her undergraduate days, Cindy has been involved with research and clinical work in various places, including Stanford University, the Palo Alto VA, University of California in San Francisco, and the University of Oregon in Eugene. Cindy is currently a fourth year doctoral student at the University of Oregon in the area of Clinical Psychology. Her research interests center on the emotion development of ethnic minorities, and in particular Chinese American children and families. When she grows up, she would like to be a research scientist who develops interventions for ethnic minorities. Cindy is planning to complete her dissertation while she and Harvard build a new home together in the Bay Area, a place that they'd like to call home. She is looking forward to hanging out with old friends from California and maintaining the wonderful friendships developed in Oregon.

Cindy loves trying new restaurants, reading non-fiction (especially on sociology/economics/Christianity), leading/participating in bible studies, and playing foosball. She's a news junkie and admits spending too much time reading blogs and sleeping. Others claim her to be the undisputed master of Connect Four and a workaholic. Everyone will agree, however, that entertainment news is her biggest vice.

Cindy is a doting sister to Heidi, who is a senior at the Blake School in Minneapolis, MN. Heidi is an academic all star, an accomplished musician, and an up and coming scientist in her own right.

Harvard was born in Taipei, Taiwan. His parents brought him to the United States when he was but five years old. After brief stays in Memphis, Tennessee and Richardson, Texas, Harvard's family finally moved to Southern California. Harvard accepted Christ at a winter retreat during high school, and rededicated his life to Christ when he went to college. Although Southern California had its draws (especially the Dodgers), Harvard trekked north and attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he would major in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. It was in Berkeley, during Game 3 of the NBA Finals when the Lakers won the championship, that Harvard first met Cindy. Many emails, IM conversations, and about 40 different restaurants later, Harvard and Cindy took that first step towards a lifelong journey together.

After college, Harvard began his working life at Siebel Systems, where he worked as both a CRM Applications engineer and a Business Analytics engineer. Currently, Harvard works at Oracle Corporation, which acquired Siebel Sytems in January 2006. Being a people person, Harvard enjoys working together with his teammates. Harvard is most passionate about developing software products that makes life easier for everyone.

Harvard is known for having a lot of hobbies and loving his gadgets. Though not much of an outdoors sportman, Harvard immensely enjoys skiing at Tahoe in the wintertime. He also enjoys programming little projects on the side at home, as well as playing interactive games like Dungeons and Dragons, Settlers, and Munchkins. His favorite "sports" are bowling and playing pool. During the baseball season, Harvard likes to cheer for the Dodgers, and play fantasy baseball with his brother and friends.

Harvard has two brothers (John, Michael) and one sister (Jennifer), all of whom are graduates of the University of Pennsylvania. It is only fitting that Harvard (with the Ivy League name) is the only one that did not attend an Ivy League school. He enjoys spending time with family whenever possible, and secretly wishes that they would all move to the Bay Area.
